Bullcock was a native of Burnley, Lancashire, living at the time of enlistment in Nelson, Lancashire.
The Burnley Express of 12 August 1916 reported, Medal for gallantry on the 1 July 1916, "1st day of the Somme". Killed in action on the 9 April 1917.
The brother of the above; 56144 Gunner Herbert Bullock of 2 Battery, 103rd Brigade, RFA was killed in action on the 24 November 1915 trying to rescue a comrade and was recommended for the DCM, however he does not appear to have received any reward for his act of gallantry. He is buried in Sailly-sur-la-Lys Canadian Cemetery, France.
