Harry was a Private in the East Lanc Regiment number 15465. He died 1st July 1916 and is buried at Railway Hollow Cemetery, Hebuterne, Pas de Calais, France. There is a family grave and a WW1 plaque in the church yard entrance, which mention him at St Anne s Church, Fence. At the time of his death the family lived at Meadow Bank, Fence.
