I have always known, a great-uncle on my fathers side was killed in the Great War. His name was Abel Nutter. He was a private in 7th.Bn Lincolnshire Regiment and died on Tuesday 20th August 1918 aged 18. He was the son of John Robert and Elizabeth Nutter of 36, Townley Street, Harle Syke, Burnley. His name appears on the cenotaph on Burnley Road, Harle Syke
