The back of the photo has the following writing: "All good wishes for Auld Lang Syne. Tom W. Ralph. 196 M/c Rd., Burnley". Interestingly, there is a Thomas Ralph listed as served and survived on the website and he, like Howarth, was in the RFA Howitzer brigade, though his address is listed as 14 Holton St., rather than Manchester Road
"Standing on the far left is my great uncle Howarth Blakey. The chap to his left in the cap must also be a relative as I have a number of other photos featuring him but I have no idea who he is."
