" Forgotten" Burnley man to be commemorated on the Arras Memorial

Relatives of 23034 Lance/Corporal William Bramley Butterworth of the 8th Battalion East Lancashire Regiment were saddened to learn that despite having been killed in action on the 31st of May 1917, he had no known grave nor was he commemorated on any memorial.

Now after contacting the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, they have finally got the news that the commission are to add his name to the Arras Memorial in France.
