The above soldier who survived the great war and is listed on your site was my maternal grandfather.

I have added two pictures of him I can't date the portrait but the second was his marriage on 3 Nov. 1917 which was at Hubie St. Wesleyan Chapel Stoneyholme. He moved to 20 Cromwell St. after the war and lived there till he passed away in his sixties.
