On the advice of my second cousin I am writing to ask if there are any photos of my late father on your site anywhere. My father passed away when I was only 9 yrs old and my mother lost contact with his family over time as we live in the south of England. I only have one very small photo of my father taken many years ago and the photo I had of him in his uniform taken during WW1 was in a purse that I lost many years ago.
I have found a photo with his name attached on a family tree but I think that the photo was of his cousin also named John Cronshaw and not my father. I am still researching my family tree and I hope one day to find someone in the family that might have something to verify which cousin it is .
My father was in The East Lancashire Regiment ,Labour Corp and his army No was 23615. His name was John Cronshaw Bn 1892 and his address was 20 Merton Street Burnley at the time of his enlistment.
