Please find attached 2 photos of my maternal grandfather Norman Dale. He is on your site in the section marked those who served and survived.

He was born in 1899. The family lived at 323 Briercliffe Road

According to the site he was in the Liverpools 17th D Coy - (I did not know this) as all he ever talked about was going to Russia and being shipwrecked (twice I think) on the way. He also spoke of being put on guard duty, again in Russia and being forgotten about as a result of which he got frost bite in his legs.

He also went to Ireland in 1917
