The 18th Field ambulance served with the 6th Division They proceeded to France on the 10th September 1914 Landing as St. Nazaire .They marched at once to the Aisne to reinforce the hard pressed B E F . I am therefore assuming that this letter relates to that period as they moved North to Flanders and were inaction in the Hooge in 1915.This letter as we know was written in October 1914.
