Corporal Harry Hanson
13888 Cameronians (Scottish Rifles)
Born in Burnley in 1892, died in 1977
Lived on Lyndhurst Road
Worked as a drapers assistant before the war

He survived the war ,wounded he was in hospital in Liverpool where he stayed after the war making a new life there.


I understand is taken in Neuve Chappelle in March 1915 with two young locals

This is my grandad enjoying a snooze in later life I reckon he earned it ! I remember sitting with him sometime in the early 1960 s when a small piece of shrapnel worked its way out of his chin-never batted an eyelid
