Gunner Albert Hargreaves
700074 Royal Field Artillery (B210 Btty.)
Lived at 29 Castle Street

On your Roll Of Honour of the men who survived you have:
Frank Hargreaves of 26 Castle Street
John Hargreaves of 29, Castle Street
Albert Hargreaves of 29 Castle Street

I think that they are brothers of my husband's grandfather Harry Hargreaves, sons of William and Ann nee Keirby, Ann being a direct descendent of old John Keirby of the brewery John born c1891 Albert born c 1893 Frank born c 1896

It is possible that Harry also served and survived and is one of the Harry's you have listed but no address looks familiar. He was married by that time and in 1912 was living in Barry St., Burnley

In 1911 William and family were living at 29 Castle Street and he had previously been landlord of the Park View inn and then the Craven Heifer in Burnley

I have some hesitation about Frank as there is also a George Hargreaves of 26, Castle Street listed and there was no brother called George and I have never come across a relative called George. so Frank may be a red herring

Also listed is a Benjamin Kirby Hargreaves and as the name Benjamin is a common Keirby name I wondered if he could also be connected although I have not found him in my research and he may be another red herring.

Kind Regards
Dorothy Hargreaves
