Born at 18 Newcastle Street, Burnley on 29th December 1895, 3rd son of William (whose profession was shown as a glass dealer) and Emeline Harrison, lived with his aunt Libby Rice at above address. Years later he parted from his wife and moved to Harrow, near London and lived with a lady named Beattie (christian name), where he lived for the rest of his life.
