George Mervyn Heap 1892-1968 son of James Henry Heap (ex Mayor of Burnley 1934/5) and Elizabeth Astin. Served as a Lieutenant (later Captain) in the Lancashire Fusiliers 6TF. Invalided out in 1916 after having being badly crushed at Vimy Ridge. Before the war he lived with his parents at 3,Tennis Street but after WW1 he qualified as a Solicitor and after retirement lived and died at Reedley Drive, Burnley. He was interred in Burnley cemetery.
He was my 1st cousin
