Served from 1899 - 1911 and received the QSA clasps Orange Free State and Transvaal and the KSA.

Recalled for WW1, served in France 22 August to 14 November 1914 (invalided due to enteritis on Hospital Ship Oxfordshire) and then 26 January 1915 to 14 September 1915 and was discharged due to a shrapnel wound to the left hip received in action.
