Private John Heaton Horne
1924 1/5th East Lancashire Regiment
Later L/17103 Royal Field Artillery
Lived at 14 Thurston Street

After looking at his MIC I followed it up as he was entitled to a 1914/15 Trio and SWB(252872) and the MIC also showed service as L/17103 Gunner RFA. The SWB Roll gave his name in full as John Heaton HORNE, aged 21, enlisted 15 May 1915 discharged due to "shellshock" on the 24 October 1917. The 1911 census shows him as living at 14, Thurston Street, BURNLEY.

The MIC also shows him as having gone to Egypt with the 5th Battalion, East Lancashire Regiment arriving on 26 September 1914 and having been discharged on the 14 May 1915.
