Private Walter Kelly
23526 Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry
Lived at 2 Clifton Street

"He joined the army in 1916 to 1920 I understand and wanted to join a local regiment but due to the many losses on the Western Front in the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire 1st Battalion Light Infantry, he was assigned to them.

From what I have been told, he went to support the White Russians against the Bolsheviks after WWI. I am interested.in the mention of the Indian Depot from your list though. I wonder what connection that has.

In WWII, my great grandfather ended up working in munitions in Burnley but the conditions were poor and it destroyed his lungs, or so I am told. He died in 1947 at 49 years of age"
