Private
Arthur Henry Mildren
81833 Royal Army Medical Corps
Lived at 47 Bedford Street
"The
information I have on his is rather vague and has come from a variety
of sources (- mainly the internet): I have him as Arthur Henry Mildren
(see attachment), born 1892, and I believe that he may have been a Wesleyan
Methodist theological student at Headingley College (Leeds) when he enlisted
in January 1916, and may have become a missionary after the war (in Ghana/
[Wenchi] Gold Coast, Africa) when he and his wife; Elsie Jane (nee Bickford,
married 1923); lived at 68 Cleaver Street, Burnley and possibly at Woodbine
Farm [info from Ancestry passenger ship manifests ca. 1920's- 1930's]
I believe that the Rev. Mildren died sometime at the beginning of 1950
in the Devon Central registration district, and may have been living in
the Portsmouth area since the 1940's "
