"Wedding photograph of Ernest Riley and Rose May Lomax, another of the Lomax clan, on 15 August 1934, again at St. Stephen's. They were both 44 when they married (both born 1890) and had no children. May died in 1959 and Ernest in 1963. In the photo on the left is Howarth Blakey again. The others are Joseph Wiley and Margaret Blythe. May worked as a cotton weaver. The Lomax family lived at 156 Oxford Road and Ernest's address was 164, which was in fact the Stanley Hotel and of which he was the publican (like his father before him). I believe the Stanley closed in 2014."
