Buried in Burnley Cemetery, UK,

Appointed Captain in the Accrington battalion, Relinquished command of "Z"Burnley Company on being appointed 31st Divisional Anti Gas Officer,
After the catastrophé on the 1st July 1916, Ross returned to sort out the belongings of the dead ,men he would have known only too well,
On the 6th July 1916 he returned to England suffering from stress and fatigue

His Eldest son Lt Raymond Glenara Ross K.I.A. 4th April 1918.
