"Uncle John Walker served in the Royal Marines on HMS Bellerophon at the battle of Jutland and at the Dardanelles. My grandfather, incidentally, Louis Walker was in the Loyal North Lancs and he too returned from the War after serving in France. Uncle John and his wife Auntie Ivy were very dear to me and I spent a lot of my childhood and young life with them at their home in Scott Street. "
