I noticed that my Grandfather Thomas Alan Whalley is listed twice in the Roll of Honour list of those who served and survived. I cannot help with any information as to which is the correct entry and I have nothing to refer to re his service. All I know is that he trained in Ireland but didn’t see active service as the war was over before he finished training, he was born 2.10.1900 and was therefore young at the outbreak of war.
