A genuine Great War (1914-1918) soldiers spoon bearing the regimental number of a Sgt Charles White of the 3rd Battalion Coldstream Guards. Sgt White, who came from Burnley, Lancashire, won a Military Medal during the Great War. The spoon is in battlefield condition , but the engraving of the regimental number and 3rd CG is very clear. The spoon comes with an engraved brass plate stating 3rd Coldstream Guards, Great War. The pair were mounted on wood at one time but are sold now unmounted. (e-bay March 2014)
