Missing, later accepted as killed in action on the 3 January 1945.

Aged 21, the son of Alexis Theodorovitch and Florence Irene Aladin.

Commemorated on the Lee on Solent Memorial.

Crail was a Royal Naval Air Station built in 1939 and commissioned as HMS Jackdaw in 1940. It was a training airfield, mainly for torpedo bombers with 785, 786 and 711 Squadrons based there.

The Burnley Express of 13 January 1945 reported that:

ALADIN. - Alexis A. Sub-Lt., R.N.V.R., the ward of Miss E. C. Nightingale, headmistress of the Mount School, York, and of 11, Montague Road, Burnley, on Jan. 3rd, 1945, aged 21 years, missing believed killed as the result of a flying accident.
