Aged 20, the son of James and Margaret Esther Aspin of Burnley, Lancashire.
The Burnley Express of 15 April 1944 reported:-
"Missing"
Official intimation that their 20 year old son, Flight-Sergeant V. Aspin is missing from Air Operations over Germany, has been received by his parents, who reside at 67 Gordon Street, Burnley.
Flight-Sergeant Aspin who has been in the R.A.F. for 2 years was formerly an apprentice slater employed by Messrs. Whitaker and Clegg Ltd., of Hammerton Street, Burnley.
Buried in Hanover War Cemetery, Germany.
