Killed in action 30 May 1943.

Aged 19, he was the son of John William and Louisa Green, of 137, Dall Street, Burnley, Lancashire.

The Burnley Express of 5 June 1943 reported: -

R.A.F. Casualty

The internment took place yesterday of L.A.C. Henry Green, R.A.F., aged 19, the only son of Mr and Mrs J.W. Green, 137 Dall Street, Burnley who was killed on Sunday last as a result of enemy action. L.A.C. Green, who was born in Burnley attended Rosegrove School and later Todmorden Road Central School. At the age of 16 he joined the R.A.F. and passed out as a wireless operator mechanic. At the time of his death he was taking a course of training for sergeant pilot.

Buried in Burnley Cemetery.
