He was the son of William and Ellen Wheeler, of 28, Brunshaw Avenue, Burnley, Lancashire.

News has been received by Mr. W Wheeler of 28 Brunshaw Avenue, Burnley that his son Signalman Arthur Wheeler has been killed in action on the Italian front. Sgm Wheeler who was unmarried was formerly employed as a loom overlooker at Kippax's Browhead Mill. He was a member of Pickup Croft Sunday School.
