Married with a 9 week son who he never saw. Wife Clara fof Colne. Served in the same company as his Brother Thomas who was with him when he was wounded, shot in the chest, bullet pierced his lungs.This happened in the trenches on Tuesday afternoon & he died about 11-30 that night at No 12 Field Hospital attended by the Rev A W Fletcher C of E Chaplain.
