Wounded & Gassed in 1916, discharged and tried to work as a fish monger in Plumbe St.
But he had to finish in 1923 due to ill health, spending many years in Sanatoriums.
He was a well known pianist
Received a Medal for saving French soldiers in the firing line April 1915.
