My great grandfather was Private Henry Jones his regiment number was 6200 and he signed up in Burnley in August 1914 and was demobbed in August 1920 the month before my grandma was born and 7 months later he was dead . He was a glassblower by trade and he was gassed during the war but because he died in 1921 his wife didn't get an army pension, she was only 21.

In 1920 he was living on Laithe street and his brother Alfred was living at 14 Bartle street.
