JAS 1879 Burnley, Lancashire and baptised 20/08/1879 at St Peter's Burnley.
Father Henry(Harvey) an Iron Foundry worker and mother Sarah (b Shrewsbury)
Living at 4 Alfred Street, Widnes. The family had variously lived in Burnley,
Widnes, Liverpool and, in 1891, were at Layton with Warbreck, Blackpool
where his father was now working as an electrician. By 1901 Charles was
boarding in Oswestry at 65 North Castle Street, Oswestry and working as
a Tarpaulin Sheet maker for Cambrian Railways. He married Alice Owen in
1901 and moved to 2 Porkington Cottages, Willow Street, Oswestry where
they had 4 children; Elsie (1906), Eva (1908), Florence (1912) and Hilda(1915).
He was employed at the Railway Works as a Tarpaulin Maker. Also living
with them was his brother, Albert Edward Loose, KIA April 1915
