The Parents of Pte. Arthur Sagar West, Essex Regt., 32644, residing at 16 Parker-street, Harle
Syke, have received information from the chaplain of the regiment that he was admitted to the Casualty Clearing Station on the 18th inst. and died on the 19th, there being no hope from the first. Pte. West was 36 years of age and single. He joined up on May 4th 1916. He was formerly employed by the Harle Syke Mill Co.Ltd. There is one brother with the forces (Pte. Walter West) who is at present in hospital, having undergone an operation for some internal trouble.
