This chap is almost certainly Andrew and not Alfred.
Born Middlesbrough in c1900 he was living at 7 or 9 Riley Street, Brierfield at the time of his death from pneumonia as reported in the 'Burnley News'.

He is the only 'Thompson' burial for that date at Wheatley Lane though the address from the burial register has him in Burnley.
