WEAVERS DEATH PRESUMED (Burnley Express 9th November 1918)

Mrs. Dickinson, of 78 Oxford-road Burnley, and formerly of 19 Milton-street, has been informed that Signaller Robt. Dickinson, 23727, of the King’s Own Royal Lancasters, who had been missing since September 20, 1917, had been presumed dead by the War Office. He was wounded on that day and nothing had been heard of him since. He enlisted in June, 1916, and went out in the following January. He was married, with one child, and formerly was a weaver at Proctor’s Stonyholme. He was connected with St. Aidan’s Mission.
