HAPTON SOLDIER KILLED.
Mr. F. Lockwood of 65, Manchester Road, Hapton, has received an intimation
from the War Office, of the death from wounds received in action, of his
son, Albert Lockwood aged 18. The deceased was a Private in the East Lancashire's
joining the services some ten months ago. No particulars as to where,
how, or when the deceased was wounded are given. The young man has a brother
serving with the Territorials in Egypt.
