Sergeant Septimus Barnes
2nd Connaught Rangers

Seventh of 10 sons of Thomas & Harriet Barnes (nee Wiseman). He married Hettry Rodwell of Higham and they resided in Padiham Rd. Higham where he died in the 1940's

A member of the original British Expetionary he received a 1914 Star and bar trio for his war service
