It has recently come to my attention that Frederick Baron (who would have been my great-uncle) was killed during the Great War. I have learned a little bit about him but wondered if you may be able to provide a little more information. I am aware that he was buried in what is now Israel.

Coincidentally, my grandfather, Fred Gibson, also served in the War but survived despite the fact that he was gassed and, following the war, had to move to Canada to avoid the damp English climate.

Here is a photo of my grandfather (Fred Gibson) in uniform with his wife Mary and my
mother, Marian. My mom was born in 1912 and appears to be about 4 years old so maybe 1916?
He died in 1958 from the lasting effects of being gassed in the war.

The photo was taken by W.W. Smith 42 Yorkshire Street Burnley
Thanks for your interest!

Here is one last pic of Fred Gibson likely taken around 1950 with yours truly behind him.
I just wanted to show you how he appeared in later life
